@ Coolbreeze - how are those topflights working for you? Was thinking of getting some. Curious as to how they break traction when carving a turn - I like to drift at speed and am wondering if they bite a lot, would possibly flip? Thanks

driving CB's buggy here and there, they are great for grass riding and sand with the wider footprint. they hold more traction than Beach Racers / Eurotrax / Duro. They still have a bit of drift still when you're driving overpowered.

flipping? has more to do with the balance of your buggy than tires.

Just like Rip said they have way more traction than the beach racers but not enough that you can slide out if you need too. I like to do those long power slides at the end of a run to scrub off speed for a turn and didn't have any problems doing that. I guess the only problem I have is the weight. The Top flights are 21 pounds on aluminum rims and the Beach racers are 19 pounds on plastic rims, (weighed on my bathroom scale) not a huge difference but thats 4 pounds of rolling weight I haven't really found the added weight to be a hindrance but some might. all in all a way cheaper tire than the Beach racers. and then theres the hubs, but thats another story.

Thanks for the info Coolbreeze - you can see in the video in my signature that I too like a good slide at the end of a run - even a well balanced buggy can throw you with bad sand.

i was thinking those looked pretty beefy!

There arent too many vids of the 16m in action, that was pretty cool!

Any good speeds logged that day?

Great video, great times!

My top speed was only 35, my tires did not have enough traction for the wind and the kite. I think that burst was when I did a loop when overpowered with the kite and rode down wind a few hundred feet. Speed was ave 20 upwind 25 downwind.

Vapor 16m video ;) I love the 16 & 11 both! --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRwZ07Zv_LQ

yep, i like 16m for everything ... oddly its the size CB and I use most. trust me, we always want more wind. =)

last year, on the 13 / 16
http://vimeo.com/12753708

if you get a chance to fly a 16m ... make sure you got your $$$ out afterwards.
we'll have a two at WW-Fall, but crossing my fingers we don't need it.
