Record Breaking Speeds on Grass
This years Wallop event in the UK, proved an all out success again this year, even though I unfortunately had to miss it. It is one of the UKs biggest
kiting event of the year, and held on the biggest piece of mown grass in the country.
I first got a text message from Kieron Jansch last night claiming 51.80mph....which for grass is a superb speed....not long after though, word got to
me about Jay Taylor who on a 10m Speed and barrow wheeled Libre buggy claimed 62.10mph..... I spoke to him on
the phone tonight....he just cannot believe he went so fast, I can't wait for the write up

This may be a dumb question but how do they keep from getting pulled off edge? I know how it works on snow/ice, I kinda understand how it works on
lake bed but I'm at a loss how they hold an edge on grass. Narrow tires? Heavy tread? Those are some sick speeds over grass!

its all the same, no matter what the surface....as the speed and pull increases, just keep heading more and more down wind until you get the balance
right and when it is right there is almost no side ways pull or need to hold an edge...
