Dismantling Kite Post Flight?

I am curious which method most people use (parapacking, winding all strings using figure 8...etc.) Please offer any reccomendations. Thanks, Lou

Personally I wrap my lines on my handles. Fast, easy and never a tangle if done properly (wax on, wax off).

Here's what others have said on this topic:

Pics of handle wrapping are included in post:

Me too. Handles or bar, I just do a figure 8 and then roll that up inside the kite. Very quick to set up and put away.

OK, I am getting the hang of prepping the kite to fly. Methods i tried that involved wrapping lines around handles failed me. Parapacking works by far the best for me. I still can't believe the aggravation that those twisted lines created. Where's the wind? Can't wait to fly,.

the only time i had tangles with parapacking was when i had cleaned my kite the night before and had wrapped the lines around the handles, that told me something. the only other problems with parapacking ive had are when there are small tangles that just untangle if you pull them out so they just are a series of loose loops. parapacking has never taken me over a minite to set my kite up, except the time when i had the tangle with the handle wrap.
