Buggying in C.C. is unusual to say the least. The beaches are narrow and crowded but i must say it is fun showing off on these beaches. Even the locals don't see many buggiers. I would have thought that having a beach would mean buggiers galore. Nope even the turtle patrol hadn't see one before. I will also say 5 meter kites in 20 mph winds is crazy when your on a beam for 5 miles.

yeah... in 20 mph all ya really need is a 3m kite to haul serious butt on that hardpack... i am also a little surprised at the lack of kiters in general... but that makes us that much more novel, i suppose

Everytime I head to corpus, I usually don't see any other kiters along mustang island for miles.

Port Aransas & Mustang Island ok during the week Packery Channel always a social scene. The best buggy beach is the last southern beach access b/4 Padre Island National Seashore Entrance booth. It's actually called North Beach Access. If camping try Malaquite beach. Most kiters & Parafoils are at Packery Channel. Enjoy

I was just north of access rode 3 the first time and the second time I was on south beach 7 miles out while my wife followed in the ford escape. 7 miles goes by quick on a buggy with little speed control. And even faster when there is like 5 people total on the beach. 2 meters moved me down the beach fine but comeing back up wind was a slow painful process. So the next kite in the quiver is the 5 meter flow. I am hoping to continue having fun to. I have 3 more days here.

Are you still in Corpus?? I thought you were only gonna be there from the 5th to the 8th. I was gonna head down there today but thought you were back home already. I got back from El Mirage on the 8th but figure you were gone.
