Setbacks and successes

Well, just got word from my step mom's most recent CT scan.

The cancers are 300% larger than the last scan a couple months ago. Overall she's still well ahead of the game considering where she started from 2 1/2 years ago. But it's still a setback and still hard to take. The worst part is that she's got some odd toe infection that is preventing the Dr's from hitting her with any chemo until it's settled and it's been 7 weeks now since any treatment. Since the infection won't clear they say they have no options for her except a research committee and maybe some experimental programs.

But then again this is also the best part - that she'll be put into a research group which in Canada usually means more direct and aggressive treatment.

Found this too.....could there really be conspiracy when people's llves are at stake?

Don't get me started....

Sorry to hear the bad news about your step-mother. I remember hearing an ad on the radio a few weeks ago, asking for funding. Not trying to start anything here, but I must admit that I believe that if a cure was more profitable, than current treatments, then we'd already see one. But that is just my opinion, and I won't argue with anyone who see's it in a different light. My best wishes for you step-mom and anyone else dealing with this in their lives.
