That's a recipe to make a newb into someone who will never try kiting again, mad that they blew 1k.

Tide? What's a tide? Man, it's 1000 miles to any ocean.

Funny, that's exactly what I was thinking.

Yes, these are older kites and old boards.
$1400 I would not pay for these, but $800 sure (listing price).
Even though these are older kites; Titan is 2004 and Psycho2 is 2005, as far as ease of flying and safety they are way better than any tubes that were produced in those years.
Lets remember there were no Bows or Sle's before 2006 !
I myself was one of these beginners, starting late at 39.
I did got my hands on cheap or expensive inflatables, sometimes overhyped kites and always being dis-appointed (one exception Ocean Rodeo Stinger).

I almost give up on learning after struggling with inflatables C-kites and FB foils.

One winter I flew 9m Easy, 12m Speedair and 16m Mastair (these were 2001/02 kites !!!), 12m Frenzy (2003) and Extacy (2003) all things changed for me.
I did not care (still dont) for tricks, jumps, park it on the window edge, lean back and just leisurely cruize ..............

Flown Peter Lynn; 840, G, V, V2, Scorp, my last 3 were Synergy 12, 19 and Charger 10, these were a disappointment for me except Syn 19m.
I sold them and I am going back to Venoms. Will keep the Scorp, I still need to tame this beast.

I recently got myself a 08 Pulse 2 12m; the way they fly has not changed much since Titan, perhaps better depower, bottom end little better (per sq m),
stability not really, wider wind range for sure, faster across the window and faster turning (not always a good thing).
So I would not dismiss the Titan or Psycho2, these are great low wind cruizing machines and they should treated as such.

My comment was more a statement on the type of person most likely to be attracted to this package deal, not on the equipment or the seller. In my experience, packages like this are almost always bought by noobs. And yes, tubes weren't much if any better than FS's back then, although I would argue tubes were a bit less dangerous but we're talking shades of gray not black and white. What the seller should do is sell those foils individually here on PKF. Much more likely to end up in the hands of someone who knows how to use them. Then sell those boards individually too. Nothing wrong with the gear, it's just not nearly as user friendly as current gear is and package deals just aren't what experienced kiters are looking for (unless it's dirt cheap). My guess, and this may be a stretch, is that the seller, himself, bought the gear and never really progressed and so is selling it lock, stock and barrel. I see deals like this on Craigslist a couple times a year, except instead of FS's they're C-kites. Then a couple months later I'll see some guy that hasn't got a clue pumping up a 20m c-kite on the beach in 30 kt winds. :wee:

, that was me  first time snowkiting with a bn Wipika Hydra+ 20m (middle strut was maybe a foot taller than I was) when I got it powered up...after what seemed like ethernity flying horizontally, plowed 200ft through a foot of snow with my face :embarrased: before I pull the safety (yes I've made sure that safety worked well) and came to a stop.
Quickly got up look around if anybody saw me.......and right back at it, this time only 50ft of plowing......
Ahhh the good days...........

Same here!!!

I started out with C-kites and was looking for a lightwind kite two months into my start. Bought a new 17m Psycho2 in 2004 and never used my c-kites again. Those old FS kites were WAY easier to learn on then those horrid old c-kites. I have to imagine an experience with the CIA and waterboarding might be worse than learning on an old c-kite, but not by much.

email the seller to lower the price quite a bit and it could be a cheap start to kiting. Although, the two kites have a ton of overlap. Maybe best to get the guy to break it up, or sell the one that is least preferred.

I have a 17M Extacy that I need to find a new home. As stated above I don't want it to go into the hands of someone without experience because it is a giant. It is in good condition complete. I have only flow in once in very light conditions.
I also had an 18M Titan. It was very stable and a nice kite.
