Buggy for the LARGER Gentleman
Hi there,
Myself and my mate are looking to go halves on our first buggy. Thing is, while im average height and average weigth (ok a little over average) he is
7 ft tall and probably not far off 20st. So far ive been pointed in the direction of the libre v max strong, which is a little out of our price
range..
Im looking at a 2nd had Barracuda, does anyone know the weith restrictions of this buggy? Any other suggestions are also very welcome..
Thanks guys..

20st is only about 280lbs so he is not that heavy. The Barracuda is not available in the USA to the best of my knowledge so I will not be able to help
you with the weight capacity of it. But you can look at the windspeed pro Ivanpah buggy , XXtreme Apexx , or MG aero. They will have no problem
holding 20st, but more important they will be able to hold someone 7ft tall. Getting his height comfortable in the buggy I think will be the harder
part than the weight.

Thanks for the reply.. well at 7 ft, he's well used to ill fitting seats I assure you, I think its excepted that a perfect fit is unlikely, especially
as we intend to share... good to hear the weight issue is not as big an issue as I though. Only problem is that here in Ireland, suppliers and 2nd
hand deals are limited far as I can tell.

Dont bother with a Barracuda, the side rails are way too small for a rider that size and weight...I have just sent a buggy to Ireland funnily
enough...search on the Irish forums, failing that search on Kite Crowd forum in the UK...much more likely to find a second hand buggy there rather
than on the US forum....good luck

Shipping an Ivanpah buggy to you would be the biggest hurdle. As far as weight and size, the Ivanpah will handle that no problem.
You may want to check with Popeye to see if he has something that will work for you - or if he would be willing to build you something. He is a bit
closer to you than the U.S. so shipping wouldn't be nearly as expensive.

That Barracuda is a good deal. I was exchanging emails with a buddy that moved from canada to Ireland a few years ago and it's that buggy and a few
others were discussed - not sure how long it'll adjust. Are you in the north or south - my buddy Mike's usually at Inch on his Libre dragster.
I think the owner the barracuda has an Apexx now and needs to make some room.

Hi Guys,
Me again.. well, the hunt continues but i got a couple of promising leads. Can anyone tell me the upper weight limit of the
libre v-max? as i understand its a very sturdy buggy but i was told the libre zebra (which i believe is very similar to the vmax) would not be strong
enough and that i needed to go for a v-max strong. Can anyone advise? Cheers...

Thanks for the plug Ricardo, but Libre doesn't, the make the Full Race anymore but like all Libres they are still conveted buggies and there was no
need for shiney stainless bling at higher prices. If would recommend the V Max for under 250lbs unless you are going to do jumping then get the
strong package.

O.K. I think I have just the thing for you. I have decided to sell my P.L. full suspension NABX buggy. This is a lazy boy of a ride, and is highly
modded. It comes with disk brakes, full lounge backrest, trailer hitch and fork clamp assembly..for those beer chasers, and the best thing is the
extra 6" downtube welded on for that s t r e t c h e d out feel. NONE of my friends can borrow the buggy cause they cant reach the footpegs. Just
tested heavily with 260 lb rider. Will try to post pics if I can find them, or might have to build it for a photo shoot? Looking to get a grand
-$1000. Cost twice that new, and the R&D in the disk brakes was exhausting. A few tires short of a full load. Could save on shipping. Email
