I looked all around for videos with the 12m speed 2 and find it funny that I happened to stumble on this one today, when I'm not looking. His crashes
were exactly what I experienced several times this past winter. PITA when you are strapped to a board and can't move to compensate for the slack in
lines. Looking forward to next season even though its months away.:wee:

Kiting The Natural High
\"Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always
long to return.\" Leonardo da Vinci
You get the same falling from the sky on the water too cos you can't run backwards ... you gotta keep at least one line tight on the kite I pull on a brake line to get some control back into the wing, to stop it just
falling straight down. There's a short time there at 3:57 when if he'd pulled the right hand leader it (probably) would have straightened the kite out
and it would have flown off to the left.
Problem of course is, on the water you just get wet. On the land, you might get slammed into something
I had that happen to me tons this past winter, it seemed okay if a shift in the wind didn't hit the kite and cause a bowtie or the kite inverted while
falling. Must be something in gusty winds that may cause that. The same thing happened a bunch when I was trying to learn water starts at the lake
this spring. I'd be just laying in the water getting my board on my feet and the kite would just fall like that. About the twentieth time in a row I
was getting real annoyed. It happened when jumping, but that must have been poor redirect timing.

My experiences with the same on the Phantom were due to flying in too light of wind. Around here when it's light and there's a lull it's actually like
negative wind and the kite ribbons out of the sky. Mad frustrating.
I remember when you first posted that video, and I was like so that's how to fix an invert. Too bad its always ended with my lines crossed afterwards.
Anyway I think that by following recent suggestions of leaving the trim all the way out I should have some of the issues solved. I just need to master
the redirect a bit more on small jumps so I can let loose and boost high. Either way I think I'll have an even better next snow season being more in
tune with how this kite is meant to fly. As long as it isn't -40 all winter again.

Keep the bar in until it backstalls - which is a prime reason for tuning out backstall
... overflying the foils seems to be the biggest cause of falling out of the sky - whether that's from rider input (or lack of it) or shift in the
relative wind direction ...
Thanks is all I have to say!!! Now I have the worst urge for the snow to fall!!! I have already been looking at the fields and dreaming of the snow
beginning to fall.
