What are you looking to do with the kite. Do you want to progress to using it as an engine for buggy or atb?

I have never heard of an Elliot Lexx. But, I think you should give us a little more info on average wind conditions where you live, your skill level,
handles or bar, foil or LEI, etc.
This forum is THE place to buy used kites. Great people. Great sellers. Great advice. Great kites at great prices.

i also live in the mountains so feel your pain. As for the two kites you mentioned cannot help much but will give a shameless plug. I am selling an
ace 5m RTF that has been used a few times and is in very good shape for only $75.00. But be forewarned it is a lifty kite and will hurt you (likes to
lift and drop), if you do not respect it. That is the case with all Pansh Aces, from what i have heard.

My first kite was a SportAir I bought off eBay and it was a stinker. I learned then and there to stick with well known name brands so kudos to you for
checking first. I haven't heard of Elliot kites so can't comment but if you're looking to ATB you might want to think about getting into a small
depowerable foil. Even moreso if you're in crappy winds.
And for more shameless plugging I've got the Radsails Aztec 5m for sale. Basically new, relatively unknown in north America but a top shelf brand from
the UK. Not a depower but would be a good transition kite from the Rush to something larger in the depower realm. Well built, good creature features
and good price. Less lifty than the Ace lineup for sure. It's actually quite a forgiving kite.

Nothing wrong with Elliot kites, in fact they are quite nice. They just don't get a lot of love in the US. I think the only US retailer is Into the
Wind in Boulder CA.
The current Elliot lineup are Magma II (lower A/R beginner friendly), Lava II (higher A/R intermediate), & Plasma (Depower) lines. ITW only
carries the Magma. Hence, the obscurity of the brand.
The Lexx is an older Elliot model. It's higher A/R kite targeted for buggy engine duty. Probably not quite what you are looking for.

Sam

Agree with tridude the ace is not a good kite to learn, and I am the one selling one. It is dangerous especially in gusty winds. Def not a nooby kite

I am a firm believer in the ozone imp quattros and flows for beginers start small 2 meters max then once you have the controls down go ahead and get a
5 flow almost everyone likes the flows powerful but forgiving not very lifty and they come ready to fly.
go fly a kite trainer 1.4 m
thunderfoil 9 ft.
Flexi sting 1.7m
Ozone flow 2.0 m
PL Vapor 3.2 m
Ozone Flow 5 m
PLVapor 6.5 m
frenzy 14.0 m
