Good News....Bad News
Good news is no surgery...bad news is 8 to 10 wks on alum. sticks. CT scan showed multiple fractures to the right heel. Ankle joints OK. Already
trying to figure out how I can get a session in on a 3m in light wind and do it sitting down. Anybody ever tried to scud around in short grass on
and snow disc or snow sled or the like. I think it could work. This ain't gonna be fun. Newbies don't be stupid..... be confident in useing your
killers and know when to pull the trigger.

Take time off and then do exactly what they say in Physical Therapy.
Do not re-injure yourself. Don't rush it.

Ditto AD72. You do your body a disservice by rushing back and the healing will take far longer if you suffer another injury.
Short term loss for longterm gain with complete healing should be what you are thinking about.
A kid on my son's soccer team hurt his ankle last fall playing baseball. Didn't recover completely but thought he recovered enough to ski this past
winter. He fell and was back on crutches. Took part of the spring soccer season off but came back for the state tournement. Hurt his ankle in game
2 of a 3 game state series. Had to be carried off the field and to an awaitng car in tears.
Docs told him to stongly consider taking one year off from all physical activity (baseball, soccer, basketball, skiing, etc.). He's 11 and in shape
and like most kids, heals a LOT quicker then adults.
Something for you to consider. I feel for you wanting to get back in the sport so consider the long term effect of another injury.

Not trying to be an Arse here but I would STRONGLY suggest being kind to your body.
This is the first of many lessons in patience and acceptance... Please tolerate and absorb or you'll likely face the the consequences.
Bones take six weeks.
Tendons and ligaments take 12 weeks.
Re-injury of any sort during that healing phase essentially doubles those numbers, exponentially increases the risks of scar tissue adhesion and
re-hab still takes as much time as it takes.
But, then again, what would I know ? I'm just a crippled up former antenna rigger with ankle braces and a long history of bouncing back...

I know Your all right and I'm sure thats the route things will take. Gonna work on my buggy, change the wheel color and maybe even see if its
possible to mod the fork to accept big wheel tires. The Lake Michigan beaches have very little hard pack sand. Maybe even think about a home brew
big buggy build. Maybe make my own Nasa wing. Maybe start a local power kite club so I can have someone to fly with and show them what not to do.
LOL. OH and maybe get some more safety equipement. You havn't heard the last of me! OH Yeah I'm Addicted.

Heal well! Take the time needed, I know it's hard to pass up any windy days, but you'll have to, for a bit.
Tide? What's a tide? Man, it's 1000 miles to any ocean.
