Avoid Ebay if you don't know what you are buying. More bad deals than good on there.

LOTS of good used kites in the for sale section here and sellers you can trust.

Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.

Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

First off do yourself a favor and make sure that you don't buy a second rate kite from ebay. buy from a reputable dealer or buy from this forum or another forum of this type, there are plenty of used kites for sale here and you are better off with a decent used kite than a cheap mock brand kite.

Second, there are several types of kites you could go with, any of the usual brand HQ, PL, Ozone and a couple others.

Start with something in the 3 or 4m range like the one for sale here.

Great kite, and can also be used in the buggy with no problem.

There are currently a fair number of Flexifoil Bullets and Rages on the UK side of eBay. Anything in the 2.5m to 3.5m range would be a good place to start.

If you the kites you are looking at don't specify a manufacturer names or it is one that doesn't seem familiar, you might want to pass on them.

eBay is full of no-name or knock-off kites. In a lot of cases, the price indicates a product where it's a much, much older design, poor construction, or inferior materials. In the end, this generally leads to a kite "that just doesn't fly right" and will lead to hours of frustration if not proving to be downright unsafe.

There are bargains to be had on eBay if you can find a reputable seller. However, if the price seems really, really too good to be true, then it probably is.

Kites are also re-sold by flyers (many in the UK) on www.kitecrowd.com.

For lots of information on building buggies, Google "Popeye The Welder."

Sam

depending on the wind where you are you may want to go smaller for your first kite. we let a guy fly a 2 meter ozone flow in 20 plus winds and it supermaned him about 15 feet and then drug him another 10. i would go with a 2m or 1.5meter for a begginer.

go fly a kite trainer 1.4 m
thunderfoil 9 ft.
Flexi sting 1.7m
Ozone flow 2.0 m
PL Vapor 3.2 m
Ozone Flow 5 m
PLVapor 6.5 m
frenzy 14.0 m
