Saturday I went to a new spot, Black Pond Wildlife Management Area (WMA), a secluded section of beach on L. Ontario, a few miles north of Southwick
Beach. Parking there is quite minimal, I got there around noon, and was quite lucky to find a spot, somewhat removed from the trailhead. The trail
is about 1/2 mile, some of which is boardwalk. the boardwalk at the start was wide enough for my little Comp Std., but as I got closer to the beach,
it got narrower until I finally had to carry the buggy the last 100 yds or so. It proved to be worth it though, as I had great wind and mostly empty
beach to ride all afternoon. A little video of the fun, 38 special provides the tune, "Hold on loosely". Vid recorded on the Tachyon XC Micro helmet
cam.

long lines would be a bit of a problem. had to look a second time at the vid, missed the drift wood at 2:26 and 3:51

@bigkid, lol those would be yer average sized 'drift wood', here. They were cheerful at first, but after my 40th pass or so, they seemed mildly
annoyed. I dunno, I was having fun!
@D, Ya, I make a guess at windspeed based on the sock. I used to have a cheap, dollar store sock, until I got this one. I'm using a 13' Shakespear
Panfish pole, and a spring-type holder. You could go as simple as a nylon or plastic ribbon, just get used to what it does in what kind of wind.

No prob, man. It's way easier to show with pics. (worth a thousand words...) Can't wait to see it! Maybe if you have enough cloth, and the time, you
could make one and have a drawing for the new guys! I have an Ozone sock (a little smaller) that I will put up for grabs if anyone is interested.
Start a list, and I will pick a name on Friday, 8/12!

Well, I would be interested, but I think it will be more fun to make one... I do have enough material to make a few... and I was thinking the same
thing. I think I have enough to make three to give away
@ labrat. Looks like you are winner by default! Congrats, and U2U my your addy and I'll send it out! I'm headed to the beach right now, will return later, hopefully with more video. Who knows, maybe I'll
capture a "CBE" of my own!:Ange09:
