*Video* Nothing at all

I had Friday off again(stupid economy) but it was a nice day so I went to Southwick Beach. Wind was onshore, maybe a little south, but rideable at 10ish, gusting to the teens at times. I was flying the 7M NPW9 by km4, on new short lines I made up from some bulk line I got from Mike Lebo (thanks Mike). The video I got was nothing at all too different from most of my Southwick buggy videos, so I chose that tune by Santana/Musiq,from the Shaman CD. Hope its not too boring.

Hey Bob,

I looked up that camera you use. I like how small it is and you can't beat those prices. I just wish the HD model was full 1080p. On another note :) I liked the music I think it worked well.

Thanks guys, I was afraid that my putting back and forth on light wind days was getting old.
@snowspider-Would really like that. Water's starting to get cold already. I still haven't launched the Neo, beach has been too narrow, and I'd like some witnesses/help if I get into trouble. Best not too many witnesses, though. lol Anyway, I've been getting a lot of 4 day work-weeks, they tell us it is the economy, but lately we've been producing in 4 days what it used to take 5, so they are just capitalizing on that. So, I've been picking the most likely beach day according to the NOAA predictions, and if it's not showing west, I usually ride local (fairgrounds, or school). I'll let you know when I'll be there next, and if you can make it, great!
The beach has widened up some, but I still use the short lines/NPW's. A little wider and I'll probably try the Apex. I had the 7M NPW on the Vector 17.5M lines before I switched to the shorties, and the extra length had me hovering an inch off the seat with the kite up high, and in the trees with it too low.

Bob, nice vid! Looks like very pleasant flying.

It was cool to see your npw flying on those short lines. I have a 7.6 npw9 from km4 as well and yesterday I was flying it at our local park. The wind was light down low where the npw flew quite politely but up top it was strong and I found I could barely manage the pull. I'm thinking maybe shorter lines would be better for managing in light winds as it would keep things more manageable in changing conditons. How long are the lines on your npw now?

Thanks again, folks. @ airin, those lines are about 25 feet long. I only made them that length because I wanted a way to make them all the same length, so I made a jig by putting a screw in the window sill in my dining room, and another on the other side of the house in my foyer, (same height, and a straight line between) and made the lines up right on the jig, then put them all on a hook in my garage, slipped a kite stake thru the loops at the other end, and leaned and bounced my 200# self on them to stretch them out, and make sure my hand stitching would hold. @ ptw, that's the same beach as in June, the water level is finally dropping. This spring it was the highest as I've ever seen it, now I'd guess it's about 40 feet from waters edge to the dune grass, then another 15 or 20 feet to the trees. In Nov. last year there was about 100 feet of beach to work with. No tides there to deal with, but when the wind is strong from the west, it pushes the water up closer to the dunes.

Thanks for explaining your line making process Bob. 25 feet. That looks good to me. I may cut down my npw 7.6 lines to that length too. Mind bringing your 200# self by to prestretch 'em for me?!:D
