Brought back old FAV ... NAISH Boxer 12m (VIDEO)

Jumped into some serious bladder repair on this tube.

i have a grab bag of old bladders and valves (about 30 or so)and set out to put my old 12m BOXER back in service. this unit needed ALL 5 struts repaired all being valve attachments.

i wanted a poly urethane product from WM because thats what is here. decided on the 3M WM 5200 (regular set). i don't know if they make a clear, so i got the white. any way the details....

SLOW CURE! solid 3 days and a humid environment makes it a little quicker but 3 days any way you slice it. (7 days per the instructin for thick applications.
the first day needs a compression device to hold things, like a juice glass with some weight.
use ample but stay in the valve dimensions.

SLOOOW but works !

They have a QUICK SET 5200, which would be better. and really is very close formulation to AQUASEAL. without the TiO(2).

these are all OLD bladders and valves....in the 4-6year range. not so sure the removal/ failure looks like , I DON'T SEE THIS STUFF COMING OFF , it would have to be cut out for next repair.
i don't think it will peel away like most typical valve adhesion failures.

sessioned with this unit on the land board about an hour all solid.

very happy with it , def would go with the quick set.

fun unit! and will run it for a while to watch the repairs.

haha, this summer, I picked up an old naish shockwave 9m as my first LEI...didn't want to spend much $ so went for something old but still reliably safe....I really like it actually! More than I thought I would for sure.

I think I'd like to see this one realtime to get a feel for the kite action.

Still, that kite makes some tight loops. I'd like to taste a c kite on the water sometime.

the real time is a fraction long . i'll do short clip

baja, you got it.

the unhooked seems addictive! strong /direct easy to trim with nice range. Besides an NPW5, this boxer may have been the first kite i truly mastered
