i am prob. going to get a lot of crap for this but i am beyond itching to fly tomorrow....
there are just scattered thunderstorms but the wind is supposed to be 16-20mph, i just want to fly and there are bigger structures around the field
then even my kite.... i could die... but probably not right??? i mean more people see UFO's then get struck by lighting right??? lol
I believe those are actual strikes in the stats. I think Phree has already reported that there is enough atmospheric electrical potential that can
build up and discharge on your personal and kiting equipment. This can happen long before there is actual visible lightening in the area.
Looks like you have weighed the options and decided to proceed. So the only thing to add is: "Vaya Con Dios"
Most UFOs are properly insulated against lightning strikes.
