How to connect Kite Handles

Hey guys, haven't been on in quite a while. I was wondering if someone could help me out on connecting kite handles (with a rope between them) for use in a harness. Do I just have to buy handles that are already connected, or can I just modify my current ones?

haha finally figured out how to word what I want. A harness line. Easy enough. Lol
