NABX 2012 Dates UPDATE PLEASE READ

A terrible mistake has been made. My original dates were correct.

I was unable to get ahold of the representative from NALSA until just now.

He confirms that they are using the lake the last week in March.

Our dates must follow, which are the original dates of April 3, through April 8th.

Please contact me if you are having trouble with your travel arrangements.

I'm sending an email out now.

Huge apology. Huge. I'm so very sorry.

The biggest challenge is to Popeye.

Please join me in letting him know how much we want him there.

I know it is going to be tough for him, but I pray, there is a way.

I'm just sick over this whole thing.

Best of Luck Popeye, you can do this!

aoxomoxoa awaits(and i'll come out from under the bus long enough to shake your hand)!

Oh no....this is going to be very difficult for us now, the financial side will be bad enough, re scheduling flights 4 days after we already changed it.
Re booking the leave off again now will be our biggest hurdle as other people have rearranged their leave off, based on our already booked leave (which we have already had to change). I never thought trying to be organized and to get an itinerary booked well in advance would cause us so much stress

I received a call this morning from Dean just as I was reading about this change again, all I can say is now....what will be will be

ps....did I say Denise is pretty MAD about this second change....lol understatement

Well, my diet has been pretty crow free for a few months, so I'm back on it now.

Popeye and Denise have pulled off a miracle after what has to be the most bone headed decision making process in our history.

Suffice it to say I was convinced I was wrong, and it turns out, indeed I was.

NABX will make this up to you Popeye, this I pledge.

My sincere apology for putting you through the wringer on this.

....I feel like I am tipping my toes in the water not knowing if its boiling or freezing...lol

I can confirm, we have re arranged the flights again, for quite a ridiculous cost I might add.

I can also confirm, Denise's leave has again been granted (you would not believe the juggling around that has been done in that office) I can only imagine Denise must be highly thought of for sure, my holiday leave wont be a problem......so, dare I say it....

...again, it looks like we are coming to the greatest kiting event on the planet, if there is a God....let there be wind

I think I need a couple of shots of aoxomoxoa...on the rocks please lol

NABX 2012 or bust

Dean will the BloKart World Championships 2012 and the North American BloKart Championships 2012 that starts April 5th and runs throught April 13th have an impact on NABX with two events being run at the same time?

We don't expect it to.

We all have similar speeds so are highly compatible wind riders, where as the land sailors speeds are often above 60 mph.

We welcome the Blokarter's next year and wish them the best.

These are Easter dates with Blackout dates for frequent flier miles which will likely preclude our attending. Wife Joan ( an non kiter) was really looking to attend, but it looks like my segment would be $750 which I cannot justify.

We will keep on looking but maybe it means I can spend gas money to drive to WBB

Dangit, looks like I might be able to pull off a JIBE visit before I get to ride with you at NABX! I'm out for JIBE 2012 because it's my 20th anniversary (I didn't even ask for this one. lol) Maybe something else will bring you here some other time soon.

We just booked, arriving Wednesday on separate airlines and leaving Saturday AM to avoid the Easter crunch.

I think I've got the new dates covered now. I've managed to re-arrange my leave request, but to get a good flight deal I will be arriving March 31st, and leaving on April 8th.:singing:

Dean, is there going to be a pre-NABX event going on? As I will have a few days on my hands prior to NABX and I'd like to make the most of it while I'm there.

Pheew! Nearly thought I'd missed it.:tumble:

Now where's that bottle?

Thats just logistics. It's the SAME week of spring break for my kids. This cuts me down to Friday and Saturday this year.
