looked like it was a shoulder hit the way the deer rotated. Antlers might've had a worse result.

Think a special Darwin award needs to be set aside for the person who organizes a mountain bike race on a game reserve in Africa.

But then again, we are the species that came up with the concept of shark petting.

I sent this vid to a friend of mine the other night after he called to tell me that while he was out riding he came across a bulls moose and 2 cows. The moose are in rut right now and the bull gave him a 20' false charge.

He put his bike between himself and the moose but said that when that rack is comming at you, you realize that the bike isn't gonna do squat to protect you. He also said he'd take his chances getting stopped on the back by the african critter than the moose.

The hazards of mountain biking I guess.

Come on, sharks are cute - I just love rubbing them behind the ears and scratching their tummies!

Motorbikes versus deer, moose, cows etc ... no thanks to that either. One night, I rode a buddies 750 Katana over the mountains from the east coast to the west coast of NZ - came around a long corner and there, right in the middle of the road was a freakin' cow ... like, check my shorts dude! Thank crap it wasn't a corner earlier - I'd slowed down from a full throttle, downhill, head-on-the-tank full speed run on a long straight :o
... I've had buddies who've been less lucky though!!!

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...
