Carts of Darkness

On PBS Seattle tonight was this documentary about these homeless guys who ride shopping carts down the hills of North Vancouver. For those who know North Van, some of the hills they ride down are Mtn Hwy from McNair to Lynn Valley, Keith Rd to Mtn Hwy, Delbrook from Mount Royal to Queens. The highlight is the road down from Cypress Bowl.

That's a 1 hour video. Not happening. I'd love to see the 4 minute version of them riding the carts though.

You would not believe how steep these streets are. They are doing 40mph.

You could just watch the first 3-4 min., it was enough to give me the puckers! Must be a bummer to crash with a cart full of "cash"!

That was an interesting video. I went in with a mind to laugh at them, but instead it was a very thought provoking film.

How about doing that in a kite buggy!

I have clocked 95km/hr riding my mountain bike down one of the hills in the film. Few of those streets have a runout before crossing busy streets, so no kite buggy for me.
