Peter Lynn has kite buggied on the Wildwood beach. Kite buggy event were organized for several years in the 90's when Mary and I were active in the
buggy community. Wildwood has always been receptive to kite events. We put former NJ governor Christie Todd Whitman on a tandem kite buggy with Peter
Lynn.
Thanks for the photo of Mary on our Blokarts now that we have progressed to a sport a little easier on our bodies.

The article that concerns me is on page 5 of the October 20, 2011 issue.
Keeping the beach open for horseback riding and power kiting may be difficult. Horses and large flying objects moving quickly across the sky are not
likely compatible. If there were to be a horse spooking incident, looks like they would be on the side of paying an access fee and permitted to be
there.
They are hoping to implement this “as soon as possible”. It was to be presented at last night’s meeting. No one said they were going to get free run
of the whole beach, but. Does anybody have any information about what, if anything, was presented?

That and the article about the new hotel that Monty Piers are going to be putting up with the two ancillary articles I noticed in that issue.
Been watching for further details, and I expect there will be some followup article or additional information on the town's website.
This is the most detailed followup that's been out recently.
Horses may ride on Wildwood beaches .
They are talking about opening up the beaches to horses Oct-April/May. Limiting it to only 12 horses at a time and possibly limiting the area open to
horses, so as not to cause an issue with dogs and fisherman casting lines on the beach.

Last Saturday I was at Southwick Beach, and there were 2 people riding horses at the edge of the lake, the first time I'd ever seen horses there. I
knew they were there before I saw them, I saw their tracks, and their spoor. I kept my eye out for them, and when they appeared down the beach,
headed towards me, I moved up as high on the beach as possible, and slowed right down. The riders looked shocked to see my 'contraption', and moved
their mounts out into the lake, about knee deep on the horses. As the wind was off the water, the kite was up over the trees, but the horses still
seemed a little spooked, maybe due to the lines singing in the wind. They kept heading north, and I continued to the south, with no further incident.
Worst part about it was when I hit one of their "piles" at speed, there was '$^!&' flying everywhere!
