buggy harness sizing

I just received, kindly hand delivered, my PL base harness.

But, I failed to check on the specifics of the sizing....

So, the waist band has no velcro left to fasten once I have the harness on...no surprise I guess once I checked the inside and saw the L/XL tab. :wow:

I wouldn't know where to tuck all that extra waistbelt and I wonder if the harness would stay put when there's a strop line attached and I'm in the bug?

So what I'm getting around to asking is, how do these harnesses generally fit? Does the waist band need to be tightened kind of like the belt on a pair of pants or is it not critical if it is loose?

I'm leaning towards thinking I need a smaller size and have sent an email already to see if I can arrange that but thought I'd just check here as well to to make sure I'm not being too picky about the fit. :puzzled:

should be snug for sure.the problem with it being a loose fit is that when hooked in the attachment point will be farther away and pulling one handle towards you may make the other to far to reach .even a few inches makes a difference while sitting and trying to get to the outward handle.Just send the new one back and ask for a smaller size ,or head over two air time and try some different sizes on to see what fits best. cheers Ken.

didn't you get a PL harness recently from Rip? They do fit quite big - I normally get a large in other harnesses to account for going over winter clothing but even with a Med PL Divine Harness I've got it cinched right in and had to sew extra velcro on the one side to catch for lighter summer riding.

Yup, this is the PL harness from Rip....I don't think either of us lightweights realized the large sizing...:o. He's gonna round up the smaller size for me which sounds like the way to go so I don't wind up flying with the bar and handles beyond reach.
