Waist harness for 44" waist

I have a Fusion seat/waist combo harness but I need a waist harness to go around my lean trim and hard as a rock waist HA HA :singing:

44" USA/CA sizing - anyone got one lying around?

I don't think any go that big ... if you've gotten yourself into a Fusion XXL, then PERHAPS a Dakine Renegade might fit - they come in XXL too ...

The PL Divine Harness fits large, even getting a Med harness for people that are 34" waist they are cinching it the smallest it'll go. the Large would easily fit up to a 42" and the XL larger still, but judging from your kites you are looking for water use.
Did you check the local for forum as well (thechickenloop) there was an XL Mystic posted and an XL North Seat for 80/90.00 - posted mid Sept. By Emily that was teaching at Oliphant.
You can usually find someone in the area with bars and lines to sell especially still heading to wasaga on weekends.
I'll ask a couple of buddies that wear larger sizes if they have any in the K/W area

Thanks Markite, Yes H20 and the frozen version.

Unfortunately difficult to find as I tend to be the biggest walrus on the beach...:singing:

Yes checked chickenloop tonight and saw Emily's post. Also checked ebay craigslist and kijiji. Not sure yet.
Yes at Wasaga, Oliphant still going but I was hoping another walrus already knows the answer because they have one, and it would save me some time shopping instead of kiteboarding
Thanks for anything you find out.

There's a Hikone just up the road from here but sounds like you were in Kantoh area ... we're the next state over from Kyoto, near the big lake.

I got the XXL Fusion cos it was the biggest seat harness I could find and even when I was 15kg heavier, it fit well so the sizing is generous. I'm not sure how well a waist harness would work if you/I have a belly to deal with too ... I worry about the strain on my lower back!

I'm close to that size and use the PL Radical seat harness XL.

Very comfortable.

I've used an ozone XL in the past and it just wasn't quite there for me.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and advice.
Solved the problem today. Picked up a Dakine Renegade XXL fits to 42" waist and lots to spare.
This will do the trick.

So the Renegade fits you, even though you're "bigger than" the recommended size? Interesting ...

It's the holding it in that's the problem  "Just don't breath out! It won't take the strain!"

Even though the rated size goes to 42" I am 44 and I would guess that it would go to a size 46".
Due to the velcro there is lots of adjustment on this harness.
It is a 2012 model. Hope this thread helps other large guys find the right harness.
Thanks again everyone....

So it's a waist harness right? I have a friend I just introduced to kiting and we were having the discussion about seat vs waist harness for a guy his size and I had no idea what to tell him. He is about 300# 6'3" and a 44 belt. He says his gut is about 52 though. What do you guys think we should put him in, waist or seat?

Dman: yes it is a waist harness the Dakine Renegade. The seat harness is the Dakine Fusion. I was 305# when started and have lost 15 lbs so far. Seat harness was first purchase and I found that the seat harness pulled from too low down on torso (I was top heavy) My gut was not a 52 but more like 47. I was finding I had my hands down on the bar and below the belly while struggling to get up on board. (easy to be off balance) I have long arms which compounded the problem. I bought the waist harness and it fits on top of the now smaller belly and pulls from higher up on torso (therefore easier to get up on board). My arms with full power are at my chest now not below my belly. When full de-power my arms are extended. My life jacket ...just... fits above the waist harness (half chest kayak style). The seat harness will still be used in winter for snow kiting and on the longer rides. The seat harness tends to force you to ride with better posture (no butt sticking out backwards). I cannot comment on jumps and tricks as have not progressed to that level yet. Some more experienced riders will have to chirp in on that aspect. Each to his own though. If your friend has the money.. buy both (will use both) and always can sell one if not used.
