7m pulse - sold
Hi all, due to some upcoming travel and other commitments that are going to keep me away from the water for a while, I'm doing a little downsizing and
have a kite to sell.
Flysurfer 7m Pulse in red. I bought this kite in July from AD72 and have loved it. Flies like a champ, tons of fun, and like many have said (and I
can confirm), a great first depower. The seller told me he'd probably regret selling it and I probably will as well, but for now it has to go. I've
flown it probably about 5-7 times (no crashes). Comes RTF with leash, bar, bag, lines, etc. Link to original listing here because my picture posting
skills aren't strong and because so many people said nice things about the kite in that thread.
http://www.powerkiteforum.com/viewthread.php?tid=18870&p...
EDIT: just learned some new internet kung fu on the pictures. Apologies to AD72 for pirating his thread and his pictures. The kite for sale is the
red one.
(Paraphrasing technicals from that thread): The 7 has set screw collars for the mixer knots that are set to stock or gusty - done by the original
owner. Kite is in good condition - has sail tape repairs in two places and had repair work by flysurfer years ago but flies as good. Bag zips work.
$325+shipping
Might also consider a trade:
Looking to replace with something a little simpler to travel with (ie no harness, etc). I'm thinking a Twister II 5.6 complete on handles (preferably
with bag and killers) plus some cash but am open to other suggestions.

Tridude- thanks 4 the info. Forgive me, but by "sit nicely above the argo on the water" do you mean it will be a good smaller size kite for higher
wind days?
I've only just begun kiteboarding this past summer and I LOVE my Argo- couple of instructors who have flown it also really liked the kite.
My primary interest in the Pulse (although I'll be happy to fly it too on a windy day) is actually for my wife who I am hoping to get into
kiteboarding next summer. She's only about 100 pounds, so I figured a 7m should move her pretty well in reasonable winds. The fact that it's a FS
means she can buggy with it too and take it out on the snow which just sweetens the deal.
It would be her first depower kite- any thoughts?

Mike,
Yes the 7m would kick in around 25mph on water just about the time your Argo needs to take a break. At 100 lbs your wife shouldbe able to start moving
around 12, 13, 14 mph on water. Ive owned the 7m Pulse and currently own the 12 and 6m Pulse 2s. Great buggy engines but Im in South carolina and have
no snow experience. The Pulse is a great kite to learn on water, easy relaunch, 5th line safety system works well. My omly complaint with FSer was
their chicken loops. The new bars are great but this kite could use a CL upgrade. I have Ozone Megatrons on all my Flysurfers which only enhances the
re ride capabilities.................hope the deal works out for you and your wife.............pm me for my cell number and I can fill you in on
tuning tips etc. There are a few forum members trim qualified and the NNorth America Flysurfer guru frequents the forum as well so any concerns you
may have will be reolved quickly...................welcome to the forum!
