Since he is just down the road from my office, I decided to meet up with dbraun71 and take a look at the kites and harness he has listed here.

He is not a kiter and also his listing is a first post on the forum and is in the for sale section so I thought this meet up would be a way to let everyone here know all looks good.

Here is a quick cell phone video of the 6.6m he has for sale...... if I didn't have a couple of other commitments I would have snatched this one up..... It looked like it was hardly flown......

Anyway all the kites look to be on a standard 20m line set. All the kites come with kite killers. The 3m is set up on a Flexifoil 4 line bar. All the other kites are on handles.

I did not see anything more than pin holes or very small punctures on any of the kites and all that I could see were repaired with Tear Aid......

The 6.6m has no issues and is prestine...... The 3m is very nice but I think you will need to take about 30 minutes or so to untangle the lines (no biggy),
The 4.9 has the most pin hole repairs..... I did not see any repairs on the 8.5m but the mesh in the leading edge has some grass and leaves stuck in it...... the 10.5 has no tears that I could see but does have a couple of small puncture type repairs done with Tear Aid and also has a good share of grass and leaves stuck in the mesh at the leading edge of the kite.

The harness is has a PL spinner spreader bar on a Naish pad. It is in great condition..... to bad it is a S/M.... won't fit my big butt.....

He will be updating his post later today and correcting some of his descriptions....... I enjoyed chatting with him and hope he has good luck finding a home for all the kites he has listed....... to bad there wasn't any wind..... maybe I could have taken him out with the kites and gotten another addicted to the sport......

The extra line set he has is for a 2 line sport kite and looks well used......

The 3 control bars are all Flexifoil 4 line control bars with a single center pulley that Y's to connect the lines to the leading edge. They show normal wear for their age. They all have a kite killer connected to them.

Sneaky..... just cause I got the bed boxing event on video???? or caught you making side trips to the G2E to check out the babes...... or am trying to catch you off guard and score your 18m Phantom.....

I sure wish the dinner at Trevi video turned out..... need to get a video camera that works in low light...... I still can't believe a big guy like you couldn't finish his little dessert....

Also need a much bigger t-shirt for the next time I am in town and you loan me that 18m Phanny..... hmmmmm.......

@dbraun71.... should you decide to keep the 3m and want to learn to fly let me know...... I would be more than happy to show you...... If it is not your cup of tea you could always through the 3m up later....... and thank you also for taking the time out of your day to hook up.....

I'd jump in and buy them if I already didn't have those same kites.

I added a depower system to my Blade III's (6.6, 8.8 & 10.5) and they are fantastic kites. My son and I use my 6.6 and 10.5 on the water and they are probably the most user-friendly kites I've ever had. The key is to make sure your kite never finds out that it's flying over water.

I wish Flexifoil made a 15-18m Blade. With a depower system it would be my light wind favorite.
