foolishness was the first thing that/*- came to mind. For a second I thought that he was gonna bail on that one. Wonder if he went up there with or
without permission??????

Although I agree that for the most part it does not reflect well on the sport I still have to admire the creativity of the guy for comming up with the
idea and then having the grapes to pull it off.
The launch was nothing, the climb up was (IMO) the amazing part.
Is it any more showboating than hillside gliding or hucking over shoreline structures? I dunno.
I just can't believe how smooth the wind must be there. SUPER SMOOTH.

Wow- after watching the full version of this I am definitely more impressed with the UP than the down! That's some stable kite he's got there- Fone?
Looks like it has a below-the-bar depower cleat @3:05
We understand all that is not mathematics through the world, but we understand the world through mathematics
What I didn't get was how was he able to eat that sandwich??? After that climb, I probably would have lost breakfast! Heck, I almost lost it just
watching.

up the boom was hard to digest, just couldn't see what the steps where or the grip points.
cavalier for a steward of the sport no doubt.
but the roof on your house gets closer and closer to the ground as time goes by because you are always hanging out in your back yard .... WHEN YOUR A
CHILD! and you think why not. kinda what i see going there. glad he AND HIS SPONSOR are comfortable with it.
ya, don't agree with it in the end, but it is impressive, especially the climb up.
I see it differently than hill gliding cause the guys that hill glide are doing it for the enjoyment of gliding....this guy is doing it cause it's a
stunt.
I agree, definately the shock factor was a driving force here.
But if it were me I know there would be a lot of " I bet I could pull this off." involved. I'm sure that isn't the first time he tried it and he's
comfortable enough with it to showboat a little.
I suspect very few people that weren't directly involved even noticed it while he was doing it. Not from shore anyway and not until it got posted.
The climb up totally blows away the ride down.
