Depower for small people

I am hoping to get my kids on a depower in my ice buggy or kitesled. They weigh probably 65 to 85 pounds.

What would you put them on? 4m Access? Others?

I have fced the same dilema with my kids (now 9 and 12) but haven't moved them to depower for the following reasons:
1) when on handles with killers, if they are overpowered you know they can just let go and be OK - maybe not so much on a depower because...
2) they may not be able to reach the safety
3) they may not have the wherewithall to pull the safety

Additionally their arms may not be long enough to work the bar effectively.

Play around a bit with your bar to see if they have long enough arms and the capability of pulling the safety. If so, I'd say no bigger then a 5m and best off on a 4m Access or 3m Apex.

Secon B-Roc. 3m Apex would be great.

In rgards to reach, if they're in a seat harness it probably won't be much of a problem. A waist harness will be more of a challenge.

A 3m Apex is the best pick out, for reach set power lines further back on kite pigtails.

And as the kids grow a bit let it out to compensate for growth.

eg 3 knots on pigtail.

Experience is something you get, just after you need it!
