Buggy riding in Galveston and short story (video)

DBBB 11 Remember A.J.
Had a great time with my old friends, Peter Lynn, Dean Jordan, Jeff Howard, Corey Jenson, Blake Pelton, Chris Shultz, Terry Crumpler, and so many more including the Local guys and gals, plus so many new friends! It was an awesome way to celebrate Thanksgiving and A.J.'s life...I dedicate this video to my old friend A.J.
Blake and Dean picked me up on Tuesday, did some awesome riding that afternoon. Shared a house with the "old school crew" (been buggying since the beggining) Peter, Dean, Jeff, Blake, Blakes wife Olivia, and Corey, although Corey didnt arrive till a couple of days later. The house was always very "active and alive" with old stories and catching up to do and great food! Wed was another full buggy day for me, and I for sure put in many many hours of riding. Thursday I only took a short break to eat a wonderful dinner with friends on the playa. Friday, well another day of awesome buggying! Saturday I took dean to the airport, by the time I got back, well, it was raining. I heard i missed some great buggying in the morning, Shultz rubbed it in a bit...lol I was jealous....Most have left by this point.Sunday very windy and empty, But my new friends and buggy/kite surfer friends, Patrick and Chrissy were awesome to hang out with in their camper with 25-30mph and Patrick did some kite surfing....slept in deans van on at Walmart, great nights sleep! Monday morn I Woke up and was buggying by 8am, had the entire beach and low tide with 15mph NW and the smoothest beach all to myself until they showed up around 11:30am, then we buggied together for awhile, off to the airport. Most of the footage is just me and a Helmet cam. I was surprised that there were not more buggiers at DBBB, so I had the whole place to myself often....even during the week. My Skydog Traction kites performed very well and are no doubt the best value I have seen. I spent time on some of Peters depowered kites and one of Chris's HQ, Very different but I soon got the hang of it, only having kite surfing experience with a bar so it was strange but now, I am looking for Depowered Kite endorsement....to use along with my Sky Dog Kites. Hope you enjoy the video!

Thank you, thank you to Skydog for supplying the traction kites. My favorite of the entire event was the SDT 5.5, very powerful and predictable! I used one of Chris' Depowered kites, was very nice (that's me and my spin on his video from his GoPro) and also one of Peter Lynns, very nice kites too! Doesnt matter what you use, as long as you are buggying and happy!

That was Patrick Kitesurfing on Sunday and Jeff howard and Blake on the paramotors...Patrick has one too!

Looks like I am going to NABX, that is my Christmas present from my awesome wife Jenny! YEAH!
