NPX Lucifer... The Real Deal?
So, i've been eying the NPX Lucifer drysuit online for the past two years (each December ironically enough).
My 5/4/3 wetsuit only gets me to November and even then it takes courage with a northerly wind...
I guess my question is, does anyone actually own one of these? Anyone seen any real life reviews by a real life amateur kiteboarder (not Julien
Fillion). All the reviews I have seen have taken place in warm climates...
I would love to take a look at the fit and finish in real life before I chuck those kind of dollars at a suit to prolong my season by a month or
two...

NPX drysuit
Ion Fuse, Mystic Force or the OR latest Surf Dry might be a good alternative to Lucifer.
These are very popular in EU with North Sea kiteboarders.
Although cant beat the 'cool' factor of NPX......

The zipper is questionable on the first gen. It broke after a few sessions on a buddies suit. Not sure if NPX replaced it in newer ones. It is a soft
fabric and feels nice. Guys here seem to like it. It looks way too bulky. Fasion over function. Reminds me of crab fisherman. All they need is an
orange option:D

long term usage review NPX lucifer drysuit
NPX lucifer drysuit review
here is a review (long term usage) of an npx lucifer drysuit.
The thin breathable material used in these suits is very sensitive. In my case the lucifer drysuit has become porous after normal winter usage for
kitesurfing. Exactly what it was made for.
The water slowly leaks in straight thru the material. Everywhere!
In the beginning I thought it was sweat but it started to become more and more... I turned the suit inside out. Closed all the seals and filled it
with water. You could just see the puddles of water forming. If you pressed on the suit .. water formed.
It's so unsafe that you can't risk kiting in ice cold conditions.
The reaction of NPX - 'sorry, can't do anything. You've probably used it in a wrong way'. Yeah right!
If you spend a lot of money on a suit like this it shouldn't breakdown after 2 to 3 years imho.
See the attached picture(s).
