I'll be in Canada for the week between Christmas and New Years and am hoping to get some snowkiting in. There are a couple of lakes near where I'm
going that should work, but are probably not ideal locations.
I'll be staying just north of Saint Jerome, QB which is basically half way between Montreal and Tremblant.
I'm hoping that some PKF members from up north can point me in the direction of some good spots in this part of Canada. If anyone is near there
perhaps we can even meetup for some kiting fun!

I am from south shore of Montreal but chances are during that week I will be about 2 hours drive from St-Jerome
Right now the winter is late to arrive. Not enough snow, lakes not frozen. Hope it changes by then.
May be you get bit more snow North of St-Jerome. That what we call the Laurentians mountains, and usually a bit colder than Montreal.
We use to have a spot called KITEPROJECT in Mirabel next to St-Jerome with shack, kickers, ramps, etc... but this spot is closed now. Too many
complaints by neighbor farmers. When you get 200 kiters every weekend, there are consequences.
Your closest spot south is Lac of 2 mountains. But the other solution would be to ask a farmer if you can use his land. ALWAYS ASK !
Chances are you might see snowkiters just driving the road where there are open fields. There are so many snowkiters in Quebec.
The following map shows our lake spots with conditions: right now nothing good. Some guys kited on water this weekend.
Sounds like you're in the same boat as we are Denis. We're just getting some ice forming but if the cold doesn't stick around for a while we'll lose
it again.
Any idea what the conditions north or you are? Any ice up around Sagueaney? (sp?)
Great vid by the way.

Denis thanks for the info- I'll actually be staying in the Laurentians (small town called St. Hippolyte) so fingers crossed for some colder mountain
weather. I'll definately check out the map and forum as well.
Cool vid- nice riding and editing. Interesting err... ending :embarrased:

We're just getting skim ice on the lakes. Got a little sleet last night and a little rain in the forcaste for tomorrow then finally a little more
cold.
If we could get 4-5 days of teens and 20's we'd be set but we keep getting 1 or 2 cold days followed by 3-4 super warm days.
