I can't figure it out either. The kite makes such a weird sound, it appears to explode open in the power zone and tear it from her hands but its real
low in the window to do that.

At 0:21, she has completed her bunny jump and the lines have gone slack. So slack, that she is able to run back with her arms swinging back and
forth. Basically the kite is left to fend for itself. The kite falls into the powerzone and fully powers up, ripping the the handles out of her
grasp.
No kite killers, even though fliers and blokart are downwind of her. No helmet, pads or gloves even though it is a dirt field, with a healthy dose of
rocks and gravel. Made my knees hurt just to watch.
Some days you just need to say no and throttle back on the peroxide dosage.

Agree with Sam's read on what happened. I've actually had similiar things happen. Though, not with fixed bridle kites. Was playing around with one of
my depower kites in low wind, did a little hop, went too far forward under the kite, it went slack, and as I was backpeddling to get tension on the
lines, a gust hit... Granted it didnt yank out of my hands, but took me for a ride... Fun stuff.

staying focused...
Now how do I get that chick to do a video for me about winding up your kite lines?
