10.5 Blade?

Anyone have (or flown) one of these??

I'm thinking of getting one for those low wind summer days.

Any input would be appreciated!

Surely someone has flown one of these! Any feelings on this beast?

I have used a blade III 10.5 on numerous occasions for land boarding. It is a very powerful kite, great for long flaoty jumps but what I would say is that it can only really be used in quite a narrow wind band (say 7 - 12 mph), I have found that it is very difficult to fly in winds lower than 7mph, mainly due to the slow turning speed, anything above 12 mph you will find the power is just too much.

The biggest kite I have at the moment is a blade IV 6.5, which is equivelent in power to a blade III 8.5, I am thinking about a t blade IV 8.5 which is the biggest model of the latest generation blades. flexifoil will tell you that this has the same power as a blade III 10.5, this remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, it will be far quicker through the turns than the old 10.5.

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up buying one. You are right about its low wind behavior. It really needs 8mph to give you any real performance.

Let me know if you get the new 8.5m Blade IV. I just sold my 8.5m BIII.

I'm hanging on to the 10.5m for now until I hear a little more about the new Blade.
