We were out flying with Jaymz yesterday. I noticed that the Y-split in his nav bar is further away from the kite than mine.

It seems like th Y-split on my nav bar is about 3/4 of the way to the kite(This seems to hold the ends of the kite too close together. I experienced some clapping in my VII-16, which got resolved once I added 3m extensions).
Jaymz bar on the other hand seems to have teh Y-split about 1/2 way to the kite.

Both nav bars are Medium(45-55cm). Anybody know why this would be? or if there is a way to move the position of the Y-split further down? I may be wrong. I did't have my bar with me and will sure bring it next time to compare side by side.

did his, has yours got the extensions on?

No, he didnt have extensions on his bar

Small bar is 45-55cm with 20+3m lines.
Medium bar is 45-55cm with 23+3m lines.

both bars are Medium.

I guess I will see about the split next time I compare them side by side. Now, is there any way of moving the split closer to the Bar?

I have seem Krug's Nav split line Removal mod and has given me a headache. http://www.powerkiteforum.com/viewthread.php?tid=20184
I can't tell if the Mod removes the split or just allows for the use of 4 lines of equal length.

Yes it removes the split and replaces it with 4 lines of equal length.

I haven't flown withthe split in a while. I dont believe it is adjustable tho.

Yeah I don't think the split it is adjustable.

I doubt you'd ruin it but I will admit it's a fair amount of labor to rework it to be non-splitline.

For my needs the stock bar was not going to work. I had no choice but to mod it.

Stock med Navi bar, 23m lines, no extensions.

Martin, I really liked the 16m VII on the LF bar. We should swapped to the Navi bar to compare. Next time.
