Well, 3 others happened to be there -all wisely in Blokarts. This including Powerkiteplace Don, who had buggied w/ his 3m Beamer earlier. Another fellow I didn't recognize, and is not on PKF, said he lived nearby and only blokarts, but was glad to see others out.

Us kite guys sure provided them enough amusement.
The forecasted 35mph gusts collectively spanked the 10m FS, 10m V1 and 8m Syn.
Spinning bowties, overflys, inside-outs...you name it.
But the 1.8 and 2.5 Rages finally saved the day, (not that it wasn't still a little work)
I got to try Martinipro's Turbo Bar, which I'm about thinking of getting someday (if I want to stay w/ a few FBs more than my knuckles do).
So all-in-all, it was fun - but would have been more fun if one of us bought Todd's 6m Phanny! :duh:

We had a great time! Thanks for making it all the way to Wildwood Lad.

Winds were not perfect but we made made it work.
The gusts were so much stronger than the steady wind that they created apparent lulls. We had kites falling off the sky and inverting really easily.

Yeah, but also rainy today too. :-(

Gusts were just a little too insane yesterday, even for arcs.
And the motel and pier wind-shadows were still noticeable in spots.

Still I think I made one of my furthest rides north, up to the roped off area at the 2nd amusement pier.
I also pretty much made it back all the way upwind ...not that it was all non-stop fun...
(or that the Blokarts couldn't do rings around me!) :karate:
