Jumps - Soft Landing Question

Hello!

First of all, I want to ask a basic question: when jumping, for a soft landing, should I continue to pull in on the bar once I've jumped to keep the power, or should I push the bar out for depower? Any other tips? I'm obviously quite new. Cheers! :)

you must pilot the kite, once at the apex , maintaining the the bar "IN" the kite will eventually start to deccel. and the float is over. for small jumps <10feet at the apex sheet out, redirect and pull in on decent.

with good speed for larger airs soon as the pop lifts you, sheet out a fraction and this will keep the kite accelerating, then with multiple redirects for flight and float maintenance...after the decision of which way you want to go is made redirect and sheet in for for that soft landing.

this basic info and understanding speed control for what you want to do really WORKS TOGETHER. if speed control is poor then control on the jumps is already lost. speed control is essential first!

Bruised heel? I think I found your problem. You're not supposed to ride backwards. :)
