dude your going to be the only one on east beach with a 21 deluxe, shame on you:frog:

keep it out of the sea weed, sea weed kills flysurfer bridals.

i havent seen any other FSers around these parts (other than Van's 17m)... im really looking forward to tryin it out.. just need some nice mellow wind and a real low tide.... oh and a day off :)

im primarily curious about tuning and the mixer test... if its the same as the other models and whatnot...

... ah yes... the seaweed... hate that stuff when it gets in the bridle...

Coronado, San Diego has lots of dried sea weed and beach trash. My old speed17 bridals had an afininty for that stuff. Bring a rake for a launching/ landing zone!
Congrats on your purchase! All I hear is great things about that kite. I plan to pick one up in May!

We all start out with a big bag of luck, and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill your bag of experience, before you empty your bag of luck.
Learned on PLK B10.5, V13&16 in 2006.

Congrats!

Haven't checked my mixer yet. Probably need to! I'm pretty sure it's the same method ... there's no WAC though IIRC.
I've had some shrinkage on the br8 - br10 bridle lines and SZ1 and 2 as well ... I only noticed cos it's made a tuck in the connection point where SZ2 and br9 meet ... working on it. Doesn't seem to affect performance.

Check your front/rear line lengths (assuming the kite is used) cos IMHO the 21 needs to be kept equal for ensuring maximum forward flying speed. The S2 liked a tad shorter rear lines ...
If you're 21 is back-stalling or dropping you when you're jumping, that's how you know you need to check 'em. It should fly cleanly without back-stalling at the bar all the way down to 2 knots I reckon :D

Prepare for MASSIVE jumps! If you can handle the kite in about 12 or 14 knots it just goes HUGE :D and the softest landings too  it's great for tricks as well cos the float is endless ...!

Should be fairly easy to keep the kite off the water. It floats very well when you over-fly it; be prepared to keep tension (or yank) the steering line that is 'up' ie. if the kite is flying to the right and you fall over etc and the kite is falling out of the sky, grab the left steering line and hold on or give it a yank to keep the kite flying. It'll stop it from closing up like a clam ...
If you stuff up a jump, trick etc try pulling with the back hand to keep the kite in the air until you can see it again. Be prepared for a submarining if you do that though ... maybe wear a helmet

It's a total light-wind machine, can be worked (gently) for maximum effect and actually turns ok IMO ... awesome kite! I love mine. Never go anywhere without it :D

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...
