Question about the now standard 1:1 type of bars.

hi,

so, on my old naish LEI, I have a 2:1 to 1:1 bar. The 1:1 is much better bar pressure so I fly it in that. The nice thing is that if the wind picks up, I can just have someone grab the kite, and then move the end of the back lines to another knot. 30 seconds, done, relaunch. Really handy.

see this link to get a visual
http://www.naishkites.com/2007/downloads/pdf/SLE_Adjustments...

The bar is in hurting condition though, and I'm thinking of either putting together a bar myself, or just picking up something used like a 2009 bar. Most 1:1 bars don't look like they have this handy adjustment at the bar, do any bars out there have it? Seems they all rely on pigtales at the kite end, but, thought i would ask.

Liquid force had similar 07,08,09 i think , couldn't see the PDF, pulley on the bar setup type right? they definitely smooths out bar pressure AND turn rate, like most of mine the center is blown out at that age!

Any bar that uses floats, you can hide the adjustment knots under them... fairly common trick I think. Take a bit more time to adjust though than that Naish system!

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

Kami, how would that work cause the line isn't wrapping back on itself through the pulley on the bar?

Phree, yup, pulley at the bar ends.

I'm thinking you're looking for a new bar without pulleys but with the adjustable pig-tails on the rear leaders... otherwise I may have just brain-farted randomly there

p23 in this manual - http://www.northkites.com/public/content/e7/e39/e2751/e6713/...

The only bar that doesn't do it that I can think of is the Cabrinha bars...
