It's cos the Russian are bloody nut-jobs - have you not realized that yet :D I reckon it's all the German's fault - imagine living next door to them
or maybe the lo-ooong winters with nothing but cabbage and vodka to keep you
amused... all that gas and you gotta stay inside or freeze to death :ticking:
They can have Big Blue. I have a new lightwind rig.
But even my lightwind kites aren't a match for those things. I can hold my own on the ice against Silver Arrows but these Russian rigs seem purpose
built to kill SA's. The F-Arcs are close AR but way lower projected.
Otherwise they would be the closests match maybe? But at the cost of wind range.
That said, I wouldn't want to be on one of the Russian rigs if the winds pic up and get nasty. I'll stick with my broader Arc range thank you!;-)

I was also thinking banana on the yellow one - the blue one is beautiful in flight but as Chris said - wait till the wind picks up a little, you want
to have a lot of lake to run downwind. Interesting intake ports configuration - looks like some are higher and lower.
You'll probably see some of these at WISSA - looking forward to hearing some more about performance.

Was trying to make out the readings on the Garmin by pausing the vid several times. Is it safe to assume those speeds are in km/hr or are they in
MPH? Would think km/hr because it's russian?

@kober: thanks for the link, that demon looks like a nice and stable intermediate kite ! nice paraglider feature "mini-ribs" at the trailing edge for
better airflow..
yeah, maybe a 11 sqm vapor would be perfect for the low wind days; or the reactor II in 10.8 sqm -- last year i saw some guys having a race in
virtually no wind with 10.8 sqm PL reactorII on an airfield (Wanlo in germany) on mountainboards. who needs depower if the wind is barely strong
enough to get going..
i am always yealous about guys having a big vapor or reactor II (or similiar high AR buggy kite). sometimes i need me to buy me such a light wind
toy...
