I own a mountainboard and a wakeboard and was thinking about getting myself a powerkite - what sort of kite would I be best off getting for the two of them?

kite types are all a matter of taste and style. pilots coming from a kite flying background tend to prefer the quadline foils for their superior performance and quick water launch. of these, i recommend ks4u/quadrifoil kites (q-2000 series for beginners and x-foils for experienced). the kitesurfer x-foil is an all-season kite and works well on land and water. check here for more info:

people coming from a windsurfing/wakebording background commonly choose a more stable kite such as the naish kite. they are quite expensive and lower performing than the quad foils, but their stability allows the pilot to concentrate less on the kite while performing tricks. naish kites (among others) are the choice of top kitesurfers. these kites are fine for land use although the inflated leading edge can easily be damaged by ground objects. check here for more info:

we had a few mountain boards rolling at the sbbb races near vegas recently. i will soon be adding pics to www.doomwheels.com in the next update.

check back,
bc
