french PL team video, where's the kites?

so, saw this video put out by PL French team riders, and I was pretty interested cause it showed the new LEI canopy close up, I thought 'great, nice to see some of the new PL LEI in action'....and..... only 2 shots of the LEI kite in the entire video... ??. Overall actually, there is an unusual lack of kites shown in the video, which is kinda weird for a team video. There are more kite shots in the average joe kiter video than this. Anyone else find this funny for a team rider video?

nice vacay with some kiting and of course hot tub time.

i like the kite to be in the video, the other stuff or some might think its .... phluphph? i guess, if you got the time to edit it??i reckon it makes a tidy story.

some fun units and the hot tub stuff..... and oh yeah the kites thats enough for me.

I like seeing the kites most. Especially new to market kites we haven't had a chance to see.

Do you mean lack of video of the KITE or KITING? Seems like both are pretty few in the video.

That being said, far too few videos use good fun shots like this one does, even fewer use that perfect balance of fun candid shots, shots of kites (and their performance), and shots of riding. I think kiting videos in general need a pretty solid overhaul in that sense. I think most other action sports to it much better, though to be honest, I haven't watched many in a good time. Though, I think the guys at snowkitefilm.com are doing it the best.

I just recently got a camera, and just recently started to get out kiting more, I suppose I'll use this as encourgement to do it better!

ya, Barnes, that's a good point, no doubt a fun video in itself. Still not sure what I think of it coming from a team riders though. Don't mean to give them a hard time, but come on fella's, show me the gear!

I wonder if they were specifically told not to have the kite shown much. I've looked around and it doesn't seem the LEI are up for sale quite yet. Wonder if this is meant to build suspense somehow.

The kites have arrived and first shipment has gone out. More to follow. It's past time to hide them. It should be full on "look how great these are".

I watched the video assuming that the kites we can't see are the new snow kite or arcs.... That would be a good reason to hide them :D

Yep, kites were purposely edited out as they were coming into frame. Interesting to see the Vapors in action there.

It was nice to see a guy using handles. So many people fly fixed bridles but the videos mostly show depower. It seemed quite a contrast to see the handles. I like to encourage people to ride other things than buggies with their FB kites. That is how I started and still do when the wind is right for them.

I saw this video last week and never noticed the lack of kites... but you're right, they're missing :dunno:

Me: Dutch Flyboarder ... but not the kind you\'re thinking of.
Power: PL Vibe 1.8 (1.9 mod) - PL Vibe 1.9 - PL Vibe 2.3 - PL Hornet 2.0 - PL Twister 4.1 - PL Twister 5.6
Wind Range: Riding: 11 - 38 knots. Jumping: 12 - 21 knots.
Ride: Trampa (14ply 35deg channels)
Wants: PL Reactor II 6.9 - PL Impulse TR 3.0
Former gear: Libre Dragonboard Sirius - PL Guerilla 13 - Flysurfer Speed I 10 - Ozone Manta II 10
Homemade: PL Vibe 1.8 - Star 6.0 (Depower) - 3 Nasawings - Pixie 1.5 (fun foil) - Flowform 3.0 (slk) - Frog (laundry)
Dilemma: If you work, you have money for kites but no time to fly them. If you don\'t work, you have plenty of time to fly kites, but no money to buy them. Either way, we\'re all screwed... :)
