Self Launch and Self Landing a LEI

Tell me what you think of this little video I made. Do you find it helpful? I found alot of different views on this subject, this just seemed to be the best way to go about it.

You might want to specify that this is for SLE/delta/bow LEI kites, this technique doesn't quite work with the few "pure" C-kites remaining on the market.

But very helpful and bookmarked as a good little instructional tool for teaching people how to do this! Thank you for making it!

good framing much better than mine a couple years back i used a voice over to orient safety release and slide ring orientation so grabbing the line isn't involved. nice job add voice and wind elements .

my youtube channel has one pre gopro from a session clip.

discernment for type and design is excellent point. is that a CORE ?

kober it will work, ON the front line safety. you have to SELECT the CORRECT SIDE.

i used the navigator on tubes with Y front line set, you just have to land to the front line slide side, the launch won't matter.

using the OSH release on the bar ends allows either side to be used as well, but requires deeper window drop with higher pressure and must be very fast to make smooth. if done with the bar ends release at the EDGE of the window the kite will drop BUT can roll a bit when it starts to lay out.
