Sandy Point Sunset run...
Turned up at Sandy Point on the Friday evening before the Labor Day long weekend. 2 pedestrians, 3 sooty oystercatchers, 7km of wide, flat beach and
a beautiful sunset followed by some full moon night buggying - didn't get the night buggying footage - the low light performance of the gopro 2 isn't
that good! But it certainly did well in the fading light.

I love your vids, John.
What kind of control bar is that you use? That looks like an Ozone kite, is it a method or a flow (or something else I don't recognize)?
Looks like too much fun!
I'm going to take a nap now

Thanks guys. Soliver - it's a 5m Method on a Turbo Bar. I'm really enjoying flying the Methods - they need a few more knots of wind than most other
similar sized kites but they fly sweet and get upwind quite easily. The 3m on handles is an absolute joy to static fly....and an absolute blast in
18-22 knots on the bar in the bug.

Thanks John, I've been considering the "what kite next?" question, (probably buying in the fall) and since I'm in the buggy way now, I've been
considering an Ozone flow or method. I'm thinking I may get a bar too, but fall is far off.
What's the advantage of the method over the flow (esp. that makes it twice as much $$$)?

Method is a little higher aspect than the Flow. Sits a little further forward in the window. Needs a little more work to get it up to speed, but
once up to speed, is certainly a bit faster. On the beach, where you have a bit of room - go for the Method. If you're flying in smaller areas -
fields, parks etc, then I think the Flow would be a better choice - as it will produce power sooner and at slower speed than the Method. The Method
will probably also need a couple extra knots compared to the Flow. For the 4m, it starts working around 13 knots in the buggy and is not getting
scary/sideways till 22 knots or so.
Check out the video in this thread: Sandy Point March 10 Clive is flying a 4m Flow and at 30 seconds, I come past with the 4m Method. Gives you an idea of speed difference although
I'm flying it a lot more aggressively than Clive is flying the Flow.

Thanks a lot, John. That's good to know. I would like a 4m something to round out my quiver and was thinking about a flow. I'm not all that interested
in speed yet. It'll be fall before I can pony up the $$ though.
Sometimes it seems the 3m isn't enough and the 5m is too much. Of course I'm only at 1/2 a buggy right now, still waiting on a few parts, so the point
is moot. We'll see how I do once I have it all... I've been waiting with cautious optimism.
I'm going to take a nap now
