beginner kiteboard
been flying FB kites in the buggy for about 4 years. being in my young 50ishs, have been entertaining the thought of getting in the water...just
bought a 15 m Synergy from g00fba11 . So got the kite,,need to start lookin for a board. Been reading a lot of posts on the subject here on PKF. Looks
like a good board to start with would be something like:
Slingshot Glide 149
liquid force proof 151
Bullseye 142cm Lightwind Kiteboard by Maelstorm
long , wide, & flat
was hoping to find a used board just to see if if this semi old guy( 180 lbs) still got some moves, need to stay young as long as I can. Herb

I'd recommend passing on the LF Proof 151. In my opinion, they're not really that great as intro boards because they have too much rocker. SS Glide
would be great if you can score one. I have no experience with the Bullseye, but its width and flatter rocker look like they'd do the trick.

I also recommend against the Proof, had one and hated it!
Fire me off your zip code via U2U and I will give you a quote on my board shipped to your zip that I have for sale. It is very beginner friendly and
the people who had ridden these board have nothing but good things to say about them.
The LF Luxury pads that I have on board are very soft and comfortable and are easily adjustable. You will not be disappointed.
I have also bought and sold numerous kite wares on here and have a good rep as being a honest guy *toot my horn lol*

Eventually you are going to want a two-board quiver for the water. One board for light-wind, and another for stronger winds. Buying something in the
middle might get you through one season, but you are quickly going to find yourself wishing you had something larger for light days, and smaller for
strong days.
My solution? Buy a door for the light winds and a small board for the high winds. Funny story, I have a couple boards that I wouldnt mind parting with
that meet both of those specs.
I've been toying with the idea of selling my monster door for awhile now. I also have an 07 Spleene Rip '34. If you are intersted in doing a combo for
both boards, drop me a u2u. (both boards have seen a fair amount of use, but are still in good condition. the rip is a pretty stiff board, so it
throws some spray in the chop, but has a good amount of pop)

the control at first for a new rider with the LF proof is easier, soaks up a ton a power ...so you gotta be powered(like a big tube)!, in under
powered stuff would not be choice. decent powered new board rider would like its built- in grip. but working with less air the kgb is super slippery
and allows to reach good kite speed quickly.. a bit slippy for a new rider in powered rides but has incredible range for the $ as you get passed speed
control stuff .
at #180 the kgb is gonna get you in nice 13-15 perfect with the 15SYN. that kite and that board are properly matched they'll zoom easily... and ur
knees will thank you
