two-line kite...
:o
the french came up with it, eh?
fixed bridles, flying static, been two years now... ??? folks must be wondering....

13-14knts thats a big unit, 150# rider would fly easily. definitely has a drag anchor/foil in the water, paraglide set up ? , seems clumsy, too
many lines for my taste and the drag thing...not enough info for good detail look.
certainly favors a FS/SPLEENE/MATRIX

yeah, paraglide set-up, not that i know, haven't tried it yet.
I keep wondering what would happen if the foil popped out of the water?

The thingy behind him creates the drag and the kite lifts the rider... mental, either way
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

I didn't notice the thing behind him until you commented. So its basically like a dynamic tether set up. That guy would be no fun in crowds beause
everyone would be looking up and then *whack* never saw that tether line and object being pulled behind him. Cool idea though.
Wonder how much the anchor thng weighs :puzzled: and what happens if it breaks the surface :o

Tether = bad
Dont care if its land, water, kite, speedwing, or glider.... Watch the tether line snap and his well designed anchor sinks to the bottom, and
slingshots him into his lines and wing.... Not a good idea from my dry perch in nebraska...

tether is no good in general, but in this setup its OK. because it all depends on the amount of force the tether line excerts on the rider.. (and that
should be limited because its a fin in the water - or am i wrong? me not too experienced with fins and water and forces..) also, the guy flying there
is a professional paraglider - he knows how to handle a situation where the line snaps or the force abruptly changes.. (same with paraglider winch
towing - if the tow line snaps - and that happens once in a while - you need to stop the canopy from overflying you applying the right amount of brake
)
