Trampa
Anyone know where I can get a Trampa? Are they sold anywhere in the States? A friend from Ireland recommends them. Thanks.

Dino at www.dakitez.com sold them a few month ago, but for some reason I am not seeing them on his website now. You might want to drop him an email.
East Coast Kite Sports sells them, but doesn't have the individual products listed on the website. Phone orders are OK though.
The Trampa Shack at mountainboard.net is the other place that sells them.... either as a complete board or deck only.

FYI, I found the company online and chatted with the owner via Skype. Extremely helpful, straight forward and ships to U.S. for very little. Here is
the site. http://www.trampaboards.com/ The site is new and I found a couple differences between Chrome and IE. He appreciated letting him know and said
to go with Chrome.

Hondamon, that site is deffo not new. I was drooling over them for a few years before I ponied up the loot. And ,yesTed is a great guy to deal with.
You will know why you chose TRAMPA,when you ride it. BADA$$ for sure. Are you going to pick out your parts or get one of the ready to roll versions. I
picked out all my parts, right down to Titanium kingpins:alien:.
Have fun trying to decide WHICH ONE!:puzzled:

Hey WELDNGOD,
Actually, I think I'm going to just go with the Holypro 15 degree complete and not mess around with piecing it together. I wouldn't know which is the
best combo for me anyhow, and I doubt I would know the difference. Not yet anyhow. I have a Core 95 right now, and it's just too darn heavy and long
for my liking, not to mention I have a girlfriend who has also taken to the sport. A friend of mine from Ireland suggested Trampa. A couple of his
friends also have them and they swear by them. One question though, if I did pick out my parts, could I get that thing even lighter than it is as a
complete version?

The holy pro is light weight already, but you can always do more cutting and drilling on the deck to lighten it up even more.

They are really tough, I have seen them cut down to just a few inches wide.

Man, your board looks sweet! I'm probably gonna wait until summer to get the board though. I'm living in S. Korea and will come home for a month in
July. Tough to wait though!

i believe 4 " on 15 ply is the limit on width for a cut down. if you want LIGHT you have to cut it down and go ultra light parts on EVERYTHING,
wheels, tires, trucks all of it.
11lbs +/- may the lightest shelf board i think. trampa is the freestylers choice. i think some german boards are the same caliber can;t remember the
name.
good luck.

D-EX is(was) UK based and the folks behind it have moved onto other things. Pretty sure Butch is down in NZ as an instructor for WindWarrior. Spike
is still in the UK and I believe he is still doing strange and wonderful things with longboards.
The only german boards I knew of were from anarkite.de and they sourced their decks from Trampa/Ted. For awhile there was you could purchase Anarkite trucks on the Trampa website.
CKB (Custom Kiteboard) has some wicked light boards with carbon fiber trucks and hangers, but they closed their business about a year or two back.

Are you talking about the trucks?
Visually similar, but worlds apart in form, functions and features... not counting the differnt CoG because of the way they attached to the boards.
Not better or worse, but different because I think they had slightly different goals/foci and designers probably has different mindsets.
