Last week i was talking no wind so seemed like a safe time to jump on a 4.9 that i found local. Needless to say, got it sat and it was blowing 20kts. One thing you all taught me was respect toward a new and larger foil...But hey wtf???
I know it was stupid but had to put it up anyway.
Almost 2 min of l fly time and i dipped it in the ocean to keep from getting killed. Packed it up pulled out 2.5m worth of Pepper and was scudding 50ft at a time w/ ea dive . Still was scared of conditions but stayed static for near 2hrs. 8 knts on sunday got the Blade back out to get acquainted under proper conditions. Lot of kite i got so much respect for it's not
funny. So happy w/ myself to have lived thru day 1.

Good to hear you came out of it without injury! The 4.9 was dubbed the widow maker for a reason! 20kt winds are no joke. 20kts and I'm flying no more than my 3.9 static. Buggy is a different story :-p
