Not common, but we've had those conditions 9 days this year already. Just found an L-shaped 1/2 mile field that I have permission to ride on, so have
the space now.
It looks like I need to shop for a 1.5-2.5m fb, <1m nasa, or 6m arc. Thank you all for the suggestions - great data!!

The 40 part sux.... If its 25 - 35 and not too punchy (if the gusts just roll in) ill have the twister or the phantom up... At 40 the apex comes
out...
Those actually sound like nice winds lol, we've been getting 25-35 gusting 50-60 lately....no fun to be had in those winds

I was nervous about lighting the fuse on this one the other day when I broke 63 mph, unless I had 2 miles ahead of me in the clear. The speed isn't
so bad, as long as you have confidence you can be in control of stopping. You can light it up on a half mile field, but you spend the entire run
speeding up and slowing down.

Drew, this is the first thing that popped into my head when you said 25-35 with your twister or phantom...

I remember very well in November of 2010 I was static flying a Skydog SDT2.8 in 25 mph with gusts to 35. As I was getting ready to land and pack it a
gust grabbed it and tailwhipped me across the feild.:shocked2: I'm much smarter now that my toes are healed and very glad I had all my gear on. No in
those winds I watch others!!:bigok:
