Where Do You Buy Your Gear Online?

Just like the subject. Where does everyone buy there gear offline? or does everyone buy local? I noticed Dakites posts on this forum so I'm sure many will say his shop. Anyone know of another online shop with competitive prices? I plan on picking up a new divine harness through dakites though.
Thanks

There are many shops that post onto this forum. Most of them are very reputable shops that will work with you. Some will have a good supply of stock and be able to ship to you right away, others are more mail-order and will have to order in your kite for you after you have ordered it and paid for it.

It is always best to support your local shop whenever possible. Even if the price locally is slightly more than what you can find in a fly-by-night mail order online shop. Your local shop will be the one that will be able to help you when you need it most. If it is for replacement parts, special instructions or just information about the local conditions, local riders and where you can fly. I would also bet that if you work with your local shop, they would be able to match just about any price you could find online. By supporting your local store, you help your community as well as help this sport grow.

If you are unfortunate to not have a local shop that can take care of you then online may be your only option. We have one of the largest in-house stock of power kites and accessories as well as all other types of kiting and equipment. We have a fully stocked showroom and a brick-n-mortar building. Kites is our day job and we love what we do. :)

Hope that helps.

Kent is very right about this, it is best to try and support your local shop. Although we are not a brick an mortar store,(there are only three of us in DE that buggy that we know of:lol:) We do carry a decent amount of stock including buggies. We are not as big as the rest, but we do take care of our customers needs and if we do not have what they need will send them in the right direction to get what they need. If you are ever on the East Coast, you have to come to the Wildwood Buggy Bash, quickly becoming one of the largest bashes in the country! Or stop by and put a kite up with us! You are sure to have a blast!

Welcome to the forum and I hope you get addicted!

Don't forget that in the "For Sale" forum, there's the Good Trader List.

Personally, I can recommend awindofchange and big mike in the USA and canadiankitecompany.com if you're north of the 49th and feel a need to shop canadian.

Go ahead... tell me to "go fly a kite!" Please!
