Looks like big fun for sure!

How do you decide what size the second kite needs to be?

We used a 4.7 and a 2.5, the trick was keeping the faster one in the back, and the slower one out front. Worked well for us. I would like to hear from Jantie as well ,to hear how they went about it.

This must need a good syncro between the 2 pilots.
Very nice to look at.

@ Weldngod:
As seen on THIS and THIS video
i always use the biggest and fastest kite in de front.
It is obvious that a smaller kite reacts faster but in reality is the performance (for instance
the Libre Vampir Race Pro in the front in comparisment to the Pkd Joy at the rear) much better.
If its the side-buggy or the tandem or the tridem buggy, i want to be able to slide sideways/brake with
it as good as i can slide/brake riding single.
This means that in the side-buggy i use a 50% smaller size for the co-pilot.
but in the tandem(buggy-towing-buggy) it is most of the time one size smaller in the back.
being the record-holder according to Popeye's site i can tell you that's the way to do it..

@dumonstre:
it doesnt really matter to me what te pilot does being the co-pilot most of the time..
i see it as a challenge to follow no matter what he does or doesn't do
in the tandem or side-buggy..

side-buggy goal for this year is 50MPH.
tandem-buggy goal for this year is 55MPH
