Goof, it really troubled me when I heard your name mentioned as getting hurt. I had just driven up from getting Wexler some lunch when I heard and ran over to the tent. I was told it wasn't you, but you were in the ambulance at the time.

I hated for your trip to get mucked up with the injury like that. I'm glad the injuries are starting to fade so you can show your wife it's cool to come next year. I was hoping Eric might be able to come next year but that might be a hard sell this week. Find your moment and start letting it be her idea. Try talking about how proud I was of my boys out there riding with everyone and getting better by the minute.

Get better quick bud and come back down for your NABX redo on me. We'll have you making upwind turns in a day! :bigok:

@Drew....you should have seen the hole in the back of my head from the rough ride on the backboard... it wore an abrasion right into my melon....at least the pain from my head got so bad I forgot about how much the rest of me hurt until they figured I was OK enough to cut my head loose from the board....

Hopefully I will have the video done soon and you can have a laugh at that....I am in the process of giving it that g00fy touch.....

:eekdrull: Only saw it now, :(

One thing is certain, as long as you walk out of it alive, it's a good experience.

Hope your wounds are healing well G00f, and huge positive vibes from across the big pond, ;)

Joćo

Haven't said anything yet because the Scorp is still beeing captive in Portuguese Customs Depot. The worker there is trying to give me a hard time with it.
But don't sweet it, I'm working on it. ;)

Just make sure you get well soon, that's all that matters for now, :)

No sir. Upwind turns are easy peazy, you just have to learn slow. Once you figure them out, you want even think twice about making them.

I use a mental trick.

Since the kite effectively disappears for a moment when you turn, I just remember to keep pressure on which ever side I initiated the turn with, until the kite comes back into view.

Later, when you get better at it, you can carry speed into the turn and do a true tack.

BTW, that's the only way you can really 'tacS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K- is after an upwind turn.
