2 line foil to 4 line

I recently acquired a few Peter Lynn Vibe 2 liners I am in the process of making the 2.6
into a quad line kite..
I put 3 tabs per side on the trailing edge last night and took it for a test.. It worked.. The kite
turned on the rear lines and backed up.. The rear bridle needs to be tweaked.. I am adding
6 more tabs tonight and will rig up a proper bridle..

Any ideas on how to get the bridle just right?
I currently have the kite hanging from the ceiling by the power leaders. I plan to make one side
by eye balling it then copying for the other.. Making the bridle by following the shape of the trailing edge.

I don't plan on using it for any traction activates just a 4 line trainer for my kids.

Sounds to me like you have it figured out. I am sure others " SAM" will have info for you that is factual. But what you are doing sounds like it will work.

Well I've got the bridle finished and I have had a few chances to test it out. The Vibe makes a great little
quad line kite. I was not very impressed with it as a 2 line kite.. With 4 lines it's a whole new kite.. It works
so good as a quad I plan to see if it can handle a run in the buggy. A little back line tension gives a slight power boost.
It doesn't seem to effect stability or the kites ability to reach the edge of the window. It's a great little kite.... now

I had my QuadraVibe out in the buggy today.. It worked excellent. When flown off the front lines it scoots to the edge of the window without much pull.. Add a little back line tension and it's good to go. Upwind ability was not too shabby.. I did manage to front stall it a few times but I think that may have had more to do with the wind.. I can't wait to get it out on the beach in some clean wind to see what it can do...

I forgot how great a FB foil is in the buggy

I have always admired the craftiness and ingenuity of the people on this forum. That looks fantastic man  I know I couldn't whittle up a bridle like that to save my life. Or my kite's life. Nicely done :)
